Canada Day With "The Works"

It was a festive day in my beautiful little town of Nelson,B.C. I went down to the park and watched the lovely fireworks rip and crackle through the sky. It was fantastic. How I do love a good explosion, now and then. I met two people visiting from Seattle Washington. They asked me a lot of questions about being Canadian: What Canadians think of America/Americans/America's current administration, Health care, Employment. They were super curious about how people "live" up here. They seemed curious about our current administration as well. It seems...we are in the same pickle, so to speak. But we sat and watched to beautiful scene before us. Human being next to human being. Enjoying the ground that we were sharing. And the bench we were sitting upon. Realizing that, regaurdless of what happens in Parlement or in the White House, we still have eachother to check in with, and there is no separation.
